Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Edutora Labs Private Limited, trading as RightMyWork ("RightMyWork," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the RightMyWork website at www.rightmywork.com and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.
3. Description of Service
What We Provide
RightMyWork provides AI-powered copyediting for academic and professional documents. The Service analyses uploaded DOCX files and returns a version with tracked changes covering grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, clarity, and citation formatting. Supported citation styles include APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, OSCOLA, IEEE, AMA, and Vancouver. Supported English variants include US, UK, Australian, and Canadian English.
What We Do Not Provide
The Service is not human editing. All edits are generated by artificial intelligence. The Service does not guarantee the correctness or completeness of any edit. It is not a plagiarism detection tool, content generation tool, translation service, or substitute for professional human editing or peer review. It identifies and suggests corrections to existing text only.
Service Availability
We strive to maintain continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, infrastructure failures, or events beyond our reasonable control. We are not liable for loss or inconvenience caused by unavailability.
4. Accounts and Authentication
To access the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address or by authenticating through a supported provider (currently Google). You agree to: (a) provide accurate registration information; (b) maintain the security of your credentials; (c) notify us promptly of any unauthorised use; and (d) accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
You may use the Service in a limited capacity without an account. Anonymous usage is tracked via a hashed session identifier and is subject to reduced word limits. Anonymous session data is deleted after 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or any conduct we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users.
5. Credit Packs and Payments
Credit Model
RightMyWork uses a one-time credit pack model. You purchase a fixed quantity of word credits at a fixed price. Credits are added to your account upon successful payment and never expire. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or automatic renewals. Current pricing is shown on the website at the time of purchase. New accounts receive an initial free word allocation as stated on the website.
Word Billing
Credits are deducted based on the word count of your document as computed by our system. If your balance is below the document's word count: paid users receive a notice with the exact shortfall and an option to top up credits before processing—no partial edit is performed. Free-tier users receive a partial edit up to the nearest paragraph boundary within their available balance; the partial edit is non-refundable because work has been performed.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your card details on our servers. We receive only a transaction confirmation and the amount paid.
Refunds
Used credits are non-refundable. If a verified technical failure prevented any output from being produced for a submitted job, we may, at our sole discretion, refund the credits consumed by that job. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the transaction.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change credit pack pricing at any time. Changes apply to purchases made after the change takes effect. Previously purchased credits are not affected.
Digital Delivery—Canadian Users
If you are located in Canada, you acknowledge that digital credits constitute digital content delivered electronically. By completing a purchase, you consent to the immediate delivery of your digital credits and acknowledge that you will not have a right to cancel once delivery has begun, to the extent permitted under applicable provincial consumer protection legislation.
6. Document Upload and Processing
File Requirements
The Service accepts Microsoft Word documents in DOCX format only. The maximum file size is 50 MB and the maximum word count is 150,000 words. Files that do not meet these requirements will be rejected.
Processing
Uploaded documents are processed by our AI editing engine, which uses third-party large-language model providers. Your document text is processed by these providers to generate editing suggestions. As of the date of these Terms, our providers do not use submitted documents to train their models.
Download Windows
Edited documents are available for download for a limited time after processing. The window is 24 hours for free-tier users and 7 days for paid-tier users. After the window expires, the document is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. It is your responsibility to download your document within the applicable window.
7. Your Content and Intellectual Property
Ownership
You retain all intellectual property rights in documents you upload. We claim no ownership of your content. By uploading, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process, store, and transmit your documents solely to provide the Service. This licence terminates when your document is deleted.
Your Representations
By uploading content, you represent that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to upload and process it; (b) the content does not infringe any third party's rights; (c) the content does not violate any applicable law; and (d) the content is not defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful.
Our Content
The Service—including its software, design, text, graphics, and all content created by RightMyWork—is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our express written permission.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law; (b) infringe third-party intellectual property or privacy rights; (c) upload malware or malicious files; (d) attempt unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts; (e) use automated scripts or bots beyond the intended interface; (f) interfere with the Service's operation; (g) resell or redistribute access to the Service or its outputs; (h) circumvent usage limits or security measures; or (i) use the Service in any way that could damage or impair it.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, accepting, or rejecting every suggested edit. You are solely responsible for the final content of your document. Using the Service does not absolve you of obligations regarding academic integrity, institutional policies, or any applicable code of conduct.
9. AI Output Disclaimer
THE SERVICE USES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO GENERATE EDITING SUGGESTIONS. AI OUTPUT IS INHERENTLY PROBABILISTIC AND MAY CONTAIN ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OR OMISSIONS. THE SERVICE MAY FAIL TO IDENTIFY ERRORS, SUGGEST INCORRECT CORRECTIONS, OR ALTER THE INTENDED MEANING OF YOUR TEXT.
ALL EDITS ARE SUGGESTIONS ONLY. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING EVERY EDIT. RIGHTMYWORK DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OR SUITABILITY OF ANY EDIT AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF AN AI-GENERATED EDIT.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIGHTMYWORK DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIGHTMYWORK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR ANY CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED EDITS.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (a) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO RIGHTMYWORK IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (b) FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00 USD).
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Edutora Labs Private Limited and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law; (d) content you upload to the Service; or (e) your negligence or wilful misconduct.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal. Notwithstanding this, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct we determine to be harmful.
Upon termination: (a) your right to use the Service ceases immediately; (b) unused credits are forfeited unless applicable law requires otherwise; and (c) your account data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You may close your account at any time by contacting legal@rightmywork.com. Sections 7–13 and 15 survive any termination of these Terms.
15. General
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, infrastructure failures, third-party service outages, or changes in law.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers including cloud infrastructure, AI model providers, authentication services, email delivery, and payment processors. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these providers.
Electronic Communications
By using the Service, you consent to receive service emails (account confirmation, job completion, payment receipts) and optional product emails. You may opt out of product emails at any time. All electronic communications satisfy any requirement that such communications be in writing.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date and may notify registered users by email for material changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed. The remaining provisions continue in full force.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RightMyWork regarding the Service.
